How retransfer works – and why it looks better
With retransfer printing, the image is first printed in mirror image onto a film and then transferred to the card using heat and pressure. This ensures truly borderless printing, uniform colour coverage and a particularly high-quality appearance – even on cards with embedded electronics, where DTC printing often reaches its limits. The result is ID cards that impress with their image quality and durability.

Since printing is done on a film rather than directly on the card surface, image quality is not impaired by uneven surfaces (e.g. a chip), which also protects the print heads.
