Elbphilharmonie Hamburg

With the new Elbphilharmonie concert hall, Hamburg has been enriched by another major highlight. Tourists and locals alike are only too happy to be captivated by the breathtaking sight of the architectural masterpiece, both inside and outside. And then there are the outstanding acoustics at the various concerts with artists from all over the world! For the discerning music lovers and concert subscribers, All About Cards was allowed to develop a very special admission ticket.

Paper instead of PVC - and personalisable

As with many season tickets from cultural providers, the annual tickets for the Elbphilharmonie were made of conventional PVC material until the 2020/2021 season. In the search for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly product, All About Cards came into play. Producing less plastic waste has been an important goal for the company for years. The problem: annual cards, which are carried around and used for a long time, have to be resistant and personalisable. This is more difficult to achieve with paper cards than with plastic cards. We are all the more pleased that this has nevertheless been achieved:

Special challenges

For the production, personalisation and dispatch of the subscription cards, the operator of the Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg Musik gGmbH) opted for a full service package from All About Cards. All steps from ticket ordering to delivery to the concert subscribers are organised and executed. However, the Elbphilharmonie's ticket sales department also wanted to retain the option of being able to personalise and sell individual tickets themselves on site. All About Cards was also able to fully meet this requirement by providing advice on suitable card printers and delivery. The idea of the environmentally friendly subscription card made of solid paper cardboard obviously goes down well: "The feedback from our customers was positive throughout."
