Special success requires special packaging: This is how one could describe the project surrounding the season tickets for the matches of 1. FC Union Berlin in the Champions League. For the first time in the club's history, the 2023 team managed to qualify for participation in the top flight. This was made possible by a sensational fourth place in the table at the end of the 2022/2023 Bundesliga season.
New Champions League season ticket for fans
To celebrate the event appropriately, 1. FC Union Berlin decided to issue a special season ticket for a total of three home matches in the Champions League group stage. The challenge was that the tickets, which were limited to 40,000 pieces, were expected to be in extremely high demand from the first day of sale. All About Cards therefore built up capacities in advance to be able to process up to 15,000 personalisations plus ticket dispatch per week. After all, the tickets had to be sent out to the fans in time for the first CL match day. In fact, the season tickets were completely sold out after less than two full days of sales.
Eye-catcher in the letterbox
Each season ticket was personalised with a fixed imprint with the name of the ticket holder and a seat number that was the same for all matches. To ensure secure processing, All About Cards developed a software solution in which scanning the ticket code immediately triggered the matching label printout for mailing - eliminating the possibility of mix-ups. Each season ticket was packaged in an elegant push-and-pull box plus a bright red envelope. A real eye-catcher in the letterbox.
